The Office of the Chief Judge does not act as a Registry for the Court. If you wish to request information about a particular procedural matter related to the Court, or about whether a particular matter is before the Court, you may wish to contact the specific Court registry at the relevant location. The Court Services Branch of the provincial Ministry of Justice maintains a list of registries across the province on its internet website.
The Office of the Chief Judge also cannot provide legal advice. If you require legal advice in British Columbia, you may wish to contact the Lawyer Referral Service, a service established by the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. You may also wish to contact the Legal Services Society, University of British Columbia Law Students' Legal Advice Program, or the Law Centre - a service of the University of Victoria Faculty of Law.
